Transparency and Climate Ambition
Latin America and the Caribbean is one of the most vulnerable regions in the world to climate change. Transparency and Climate Action must increase to address the impacts of the climate crisis. The success of climate actions depends on the countries’ ability to fulfill their obligations, document results transparently, and report progress effectively.
Climate Action collaborates with countries in Latin America and the Caribbean to enhance their climate ambition and transparency efforts in reporting on the fulfillment of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).

The countries of Latin America and the Caribbean are on the path toward equitable socioeconomic development aligned with their climate commitments under the Paris Agreement. To support these countries, a practical guide on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and removal projections has been developed, a key tool for national planning, policy coherence, and international reporting.
